I am lea lauren, a jewelry artist as well as a trained goldsmith.
I see jewellery as a vessel for memories, emotions and cultural heritage — a reflective artefact of its time. Worn in intimate proximity to the body, i believe that each piece of jewellery becomes a tangible extension of the wearer’s identity and narrative.
This idea of connection and transformation resonates with entropy — the notion that all forms of energy return to a larger whole. I really like that.
Perhaps, as with much of my work, everything is born from transformation: also silver that once belonged to other lives is melted and reshaped, enabling the energy of previous owners to live on in a new form.
